The four Noble Truths & Eight fold Path

The Four Noble Truths

  1. To live is to suffer
  2. Suffering is caused by desire
  3. To rid suffering, rid the self of desire
  4. The path of ridding the self of desire is the Middle Way

The Eight fold Path

  1. Correct perspective - Without bias or self, neither idealistic nor cynical.
  2. Correct intent - Without self or self gain.
  3. Correct speech - Respond more than initiate, do not antagonize but enlighten, question with an articulate manner.
  4. Correct action - Endeavor synchronous harmonious response, and every action with purpose.
  5. Correct vocation - Better to do what you love and be poor that what you hate and be rich.
  6. Correct effort - Focus on task at hand eliminating wasted motion.
  7. Correct awareness - Be present, one mind not many minds.
  8. Correct concentration - Rid yourself of all superfluous thoughts eliminating wasted motion of mind.
