Ticker Metrics Explained

• Close: Current closing price
• High/Low: Day's high and low prices
• Volume: Number of shares traded
• SMA Long/Med/Short: Moving averages (long-term, medium-term, short-term trends)
• Vol SMA: Average volume over time
• RSI: Relative Strength Index (momentum indicator: 0-30 = oversold, 70-100 = overbought)
• ATR: Average True Range (volatility measure)
• 52W High/Low: Highest and lowest prices in the past year

Color Coding Modes

Important: Color calculations work differently for individual ticker tables than Macro's historical data tables.

Simple +/-

• Close Column: Green if price is ABOVE SMA Short, Red if BELOW, Neutral if equal
• RSI Column: Green if ≥70 (overbought), Red if ≤30 (oversold), Neutral otherwise
• All Other Columns: Neutral if value exists

.5% Min +/- (Max 3 Steps)

• Close Column: Calculates how far price is from SMA Short as a percentage
• Formula: (Close - SMA Short) / SMA Short × 100
• Each 0.5% difference = 1 color step (max 3 steps)
• Example: If Close=$10.20 and SMA Short=$10.00, that's +2% → 3 steps green (max)
• High/Low/Volume Columns: Compares to their moving averages using same 0.5% threshold
• RSI Column: Green if ≥70, Red if ≤30, Neutral otherwise

.5% to 10% (Tiered Steps)

• Close Column: Same as .5% Min but with tiered thresholds:
• 0.5%-1.5% → 1 step
• 1.5%-3% → 2 steps
• 3%-5% → 3 steps
• 5%-10% → 5 steps
• 10%+ → 10 steps (max)
• Example: If Close=$11.00 and SMA Short=$10.00, that's +10% → 10 steps green
• Volume Column: Uses same tiered thresholds comparing actual volume to Vol SMA
• RSI Column: Green if ≥70, Red if ≤30, Neutral otherwise

Key Differences from Macro Metrics

• Micro: Compares current values to moving averages (snapshot comparison)
• Macro: Compares historical dates to each other (trend over time)
• Micro Close: Shows if stock is trading above/below its trend
• Macro Dates: Shows how metrics changed day-to-day over 2 years

• Click any main tab (Sector, NYSE, NASDAQ, AMEX) to view that data set
• Click a sector button to see all tickers in that sector
• Click industry buttons (green outline) to drill down into specific industries
• Use the Ticker input box to search for a specific ticker symbol
• Click any ticker symbol to expand detailed metrics

Ticker Colors

• Each ticker symbol is colored by its industry for easy visual grouping
• Hover over a ticker to see the full industry name in the tooltip

Auto-Refresh

• Data automatically refreshes every 5 minutes
• Use the pause button to stop auto-refresh
• Countdown timer shows time until next refresh

Understanding the Colors

• Green backgrounds: Values are above their averages
• Red backgrounds: Values are below their averages
• Darker colors: Stronger deviation from average
• Neutral gray: Values are close to their averages
